Mission

  • We aim to provide students with exposure to an international setting while setting aside traditional emphasis on education for a more holistic, student-centered approach.
  • This is seen in the diverse course offerings in the humanities, social sciences, arts and physical education departments.

Teaching philosophy

  • Tailor-made curriculum: we are the only school in Taiwan that offers 40 courses for students to compose their own à la carte timetable; we also maintain constant communication with the student and his/her parents –this is what we mean by truly customized education.
  • No stigmatization: we were inspired by the success of North European education, which responds to the specific, individual needs of each student.
  • Continuous learning: our high school is fully integrated to our university, in a continuum that keeps cultivating a global mindset through autonomous learning.

Teaching approach

  • Immersive learning: English camp, ICRT recording sessions.
  • All-inclusive learning: Emphasis on sports, music and the arts.
  • No rankings: Qualitative evaluations, assessments and feedback.

Course design

  • Multidisciplinary curriculum based on the International Baccalaureate (IB).
  • Less is more: In an effort to unload student timetables, empty time slots are devoted to individual or group self-study. Two students have already devoted time to self-study groups: “Beginner Spanish Conversation”, “Enlighten me”, and “Digital Music for Beginners”.

臺南市中信國際實驗教育機構依據高級中等以下教育階段非學校型態實驗教育條例,秉持多元開放理念,保障學生學習權及家長教育選擇權,提供學生及家長有別於傳統的教育選擇。我們重視學生個別差異,提供友善的教育平台,讓學生在天賦能力的驅使下,適性地學習、探索與創造。

課程規劃

  • 以接軌國際課程架構為核心外,課程空白時段採全面選修與自主學習,不僅有群體學習,也能進行個別自學,打破台灣僵化的教育模式,重視全人發展激發自主與跨領域學習。規劃出六大學群的課程內容,包含語文、科學、藝術、社會人文、生活、運動等,全面開放選修並得選修大學相關課程,參照國際學校的上課模式或採營隊模式的學習方式,透過不同於台灣傳統的學習方法,造就頂尖的國際人才。

 

  • 透過接軌國際的多元課程設計,著重學生的多元表現,讓學生獲得三大核心能力。

 

團體生活

學生進入本機構後,將採住宿學校的模式,於學期間上課日住宿,除進一步體會離開父母獨立的生活外,更能培養與同儕間互動的能力。希望學生的課餘時間,能透過多更加自由的安排,讓學生更能運用在自主的學習上,養成對學習的責任,並藉此提昇學習的興趣。

推動「師友嚮導模式」(Mentoring),即以信任、朋友關係作為老師與學生間的指導理念,翻轉傳統教育單向溝通的缺點。每位學生入學後皆配有一位年輕老師(mentor)負責基礎學科、學習興趣與人格發展,並由資深專科教師(consultant)從旁輔導學習,實現以學生為主體的教育目標。
