Newsletter Week 15

Congratulations to all of our graduates! Last Saturday, CTBC International Academy held a farewell party for all of our students moving on to post secondary. All the grads were dressed to the nines as they gave speeches and put on a number of amazing performances. Hanson and Lynn were the hosts and provided witty commentary throughout the evening as our helpful volunteers prepped the stage for the various acts. After the diplomas were handed out by our principal, our junior high and elementary students put on an amazing rendition of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Jingle Bells. Heartfelt speeches from Angela, Cindy, Joshua, Harold, Brian, Annie and Tammy followed. The ceremony was capped off by some captivating performances from Joy, Emily and Lynn as a string trio, Vivian and Joanna with a Guzheng duet and lastly, a wonderful acoustic guitar solo by Ashley.

We even had some of our alumni come back to visit! Justin Chiu returned from his first year at Arizona State University. What a pleasure it was for him to see his old friends and give some advice for those following in his footsteps.

Once the ceremony ended, all the guests, teachers and students made their way to the high school foyer to continue the party! Drinks and snacks were served while students took selfies around the decorations in their fancy suits and gowns. It was an exceptional way to celebrate the hard work and perseverance the students have displayed for the last three years.
A big shoutout to Harold, Cindy, Annie and Tammy who have secured acceptances to some very good schools in the US.
Everyone at CTBC wishes our graduates the best of luck in their future endeavours. Don’t forget to visit!
